2020

Like every other lapsed blogger in the history of blogging, I periodically make a promise to blog more or “get back to blogging” or whatever. And like every other lapsed blogger, I generally don’t for whatever reason. Life gets in the way, as the saying goes.

This year I’m undertaking a few projects that lend themselves to more blogging and I’m going to share some snippets here. I’m not making any blogging promises, but I’m getting excited about posting more content and reviving some of my old posts in the coming year.

In the meanwhile, here’s what I have in the works!

Gardening

My friend Ivy and I have put together a (somewhat ambitious) plan for vegetable gardening at her new house. My townhouse doesn’t have a yard suitable for a garden, but her house has TONS of space. We spent last fall building tiered beds up the hill behind her house and we’ll spend this spring laying out some flat beds and planting them.

Cooking

Ivy and I are also planning on a few “cooking” weekends with a third mutual friend. Our last one was when we spent all day canning peaches in Ivy’s new kitchen. Our next one is scheduled for February. Stay tuned for pictures of the three of us in action.

Traveling

Zach and I have some trips planned for this coming year, including a long weekend in Austin in the spring and a highly anticipated 2 weeks in Scotland in the fall. I’ll be blogging more travel stuff, including food and restaurant reviews during our journeys.

Etsy

This past week I received the first order from my Etsy store that I re-activated in December. I’m so excited about that and I’m planning on putting up a lot more of my images (and maybe a few other crafts) on the site. Look for additions regularly.

Restaurant Reviews

I’m going to continue to review restaurants on Yelp. Feel free to follow me there and see my most recent review of Brennan’s from our trip to New Orleans.

I think that’s a good start for the year. I’ll be back with more posting, more food, and some new travel information soon!
